More TIC (This is China) experiences

Today I experienced my first Chinese style wedding....that of a friend and fellow teacher from my school.  Some things were similar: the white dress, bridesmaids, flower girl, the father walking the bride down the isle, and toasting to the new couple....other things were different: guests sitting around tables and socializing during the ceremony, a loud energetic dj constantly narrating, and having various guests come up on stage and give spontaneous performances (one of which was gangnam style), guests must bring hongbao (red envelopes with money) for a gift to the new couple, the bride wore three different dresses with in a 2 hour period, and the food kept coming and coming with plates piled on the table 3 layers high!  I was able to try some new interesting foods such as: duck feet, duck liver, eel, and oysters.  Yum! ;)
